Hydraulic and Habitat Modeling of the Flathead River |
Client: Bonneville Power Administration, Portland, Oregon
Location: Flathead River, Montana
Developed a two-dimensional (2-D) hydraulic and habitat modeling study design to provide an evaluation of flow-related impacts to endangered bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout in the Flathead River upstream of Flathead Lake, Montana.

- Utilized state-of-the-art 2-D hydraulic modeling data collection and analysis techniques.
- Incorporated modeling results into a GIS framework through the use of proprietary software.
- Use of bivariate habitat suitability analysis.
- Provided administrators a powerful decision making tool.
