The objective of this study was to determine instream flow needs and fish habitat requirements in a rehabilitated section of the South Fork South Platte River, Colorado. The study included quantification of aquatic habitat.

Noteworthy components of the project:

  • Habitat was quantified for the entire stream study reach.

  • Instream flow analysis was conducted to determine the appropriate stream flows for the reach.

  • Recommendations were made for stream rehabilitation.

  • Post stream rehabilitation habitat quantification was conducted to determine change in habitat with stream rehabilitation.
